When director Jim Beaver started this school, it was he, a guitar, two chairs, and a room. Guitar students were the heart and sole of our little operation, and it was a great way for Jim to impact students with his gift for teaching guitar and passion for teaching the next generation of new musicians!
Fast forward nearly 20 years, and we now have more piano students than anything else! We are so excited to serve Henderson County and the surrounding area as a FULL SERVICE music school, with over a dozen instructors offering a wide variety of instruments!
“Music school merger hits the right notes for owners.”
As many of you are aware, Jim Beaver’s School of Music and Bright’s Music School have decided to merge together to create the most versatile and most professional music school possible!
Take a look at what Times-News has to say about this!
“The private schools were formed to give musical opportunities to people who might not have access to school programs. Jim Beaver’s School of Music has provided one-on-one lessons once a week tailored to students for 10 years. Bright’s Music School, established in 1976, offers piano and voice lessons.”
Mary teaches Voice, Piano, Flute, and Recorder. Mary has fourteen years of experience teaching private lessons to students from four years of age through the elderly. Mary welcomes all styles of music in her studio. While her greatest musical love is everything classical, she enjoys teaching and singing a mixture of music, including musical theater, sacred/contemporary Christian, country, pop, etc. Music reading and theory is always included, with the opportunity to extend lessons to include extra time in these areas if desired.
